> All India Council for Technical Education Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) 2025: Lab to Market The AICTE Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) was initiated in 2003-04 to foster innovation and research in AICTE approved institutions by providing research grant up to 25 lakhs. This scheme has been restructured as “AICTE RPS: Lab to Market” in the year 2025 with an aim to establish an ecosystem that supports translational research at least having technology readiness level (TRL) level 6/7. AICTE provides support for taking this work to market and / or industrial applications. The maximum grant to be given to a proposal is increased up to Rs 50 lakhs. The application were invited from AICTE approved institution through portal (www.schemes.aicte-india.org). during which a substantial response was received from institutions nationwide. The total of 2278 completed proposals submitted by AICTE approved Institutions. The evaluation of these proposals were conducted in two Phases: Phase I (screening) and Phase II (recommendation for grant) for selection of the best proposal, which are aligned with RPS lab to market vision.
